Make Life Skate Life (MLSL) is a non-profit organization that makes skateboarding accessible in low-income countries. NHS Skate Direct is donating 1% of all orders to MLSL in order to help them build skateparks in underserved communities around the world.
Since 2013, MLSL has built 10 community skateparks in areas with up-and-coming skate scenes but with no safe places to skate. These skateparks have contributed to the growth of local skate scenes and have provided a place for international grassroots skateboarding to flourish. All skateparks are free, public spaces and are designed and built in collaboration with local skaters and community leaders.

Skate After School began as a small community project in 2013 fixing up old boards and donating them back into the community. We have since grown into a non-profit providing daily after-school programming to 200+ new skaters across various elementary schools in some of Phoenix’s underserved communities. Using the universal core values of Generosity, Respect, Innovation and Persistence (G.R.I.P) we reinforce the positive attributes of skateboarding.
With donations, Skate After School is able to supply each student with the equipment and protective gear necessary to participate. Our team of trained volunteers aid instruction and ensures that fun and safety are top priorities. Skate After School also awards annual summer camp scholarships to select students who then join peers from all over the world at different skate camps in California and Oregon for an exciting week of skateboarding and mentorship.
