How hard are the stock cushions / bushings on Independent & Krux skateboard trucks?
Independent trucks come with 90A stock cushions (also called bushings). If you like softer or harder cushions, they can be purchased separately from Independent's Genuine Parts.
Krux trucks come with 92A stock cushions (also called bushings). If you like softer or harder cushions, they can be purchased separately from Krux Trucks Hardware.
What Independent models offer 6 holes baseplate and what is this for?
All non-forged models in 109, 159, 169, and 215 sizes come with 6 hole baseplates. All Stage 4 sizes come with 6 hole baseplates. The 6 holes baseplates are compatible with both current decks and old-school ones.
When attaching your trucks to your board you’re gonna want to make sure your bolts are long enough. If you ride bigger wheels, you'll want to use risers, and if you use risers, you’ll want to run a longer bolt, but you don’t want to go too long or your setup will look all goofy! Use the chart below and everything will fall into place.
